What
is the Black Isle
Virtual Learning Centre?
The
Black Isle Virtual
Learning Centre (BIVLC) offers the opportunity to access all levels of
learning
in a friendly, relaxed and informal environment.

Our
facilities are situated
in the Open-Learning
Room (pictured above) in Fortrose Academy and the Dolphin
Room
within the Black Isle
Leisure Centre.
Both rooms are bright and have
views over the picturesque
Moray Firth. Both rooms have wheelchair access too.
We
aim to:
- Create
a
comfortable and relaxed environment to encourage and support adult
learners of all ages and abilities.
- Offer
a wide range of I.C.T. courses (Information, Communication and
Technology) which will meet the needs of the complete
beginner to the
more experienced computer user.
- Provide
experienced and understanding tutors who will be able to
give advice, guidance and support during each course.
- Keep
all our learners and potential learners informed about
the wide range of learning opportunities
on offer.
-
Develop new
courses to meet
the changing needs of learners within the local community.
We also hope to be able to
offer in-house ICT training to small businesses later this year. This
means that our ICT tutor would deliver a bespoke course to meet the
specific needs of your organisation within your own premises. If you
